Do you have vintage clothing or accessories you are looking to sell?
Public Dove buys vintage items that fit our aesthetic and quality standards. Here is what we are looking for:
Eras:
- Late nineteenth century through mid-twentieth century
- 1960s with a classic midcentury style (not mod or go-go)
- 1970s with an ethereal style (not prairie)
Garments:
- All articles of clothing including outerwear, lingerie and swim
- Accessories such as jewelry and shoes. Some handbags considered.
Condition:
- Fair to excellent. Some minor flaws such as rust stains or yellowing, darning, or open seams will be considered.
Our favorites:
- Distinctly Edwardian or Art Deco in style
- Natural fibers
- Knitwear
- 1910s - 1950s
Items that will not be considered:
- Severely damaged or heavily soiled items
- Anything newer than 1970s
- Vintage items coming from a water damaged or mold-inhabited location
- 100% polyester (blends and synthetic knits will be considered)
- Costume-y style items
